Introduction


The proposed Engineering Council  Act is expected to provide for the regulation of professional practice of engineering in Sri Lanka by registering Chartered Engineers, Associate Engineers, Affiliate Engineers ,Incorporated Engineers and Engineering Technicians so that only those who have so registered will be authorized to  practice engineering professionally in Sri Lanka.

    1. What significant milestones have been achieved in the past, which year
    2. What significant milestones to be achieved
    3. Who is accountable to get things done in #2 and when

  2. 1. The Act was sent to the Attorney General's office after the Legal Draftman's office.
    2.After that it should go to Parliament through the Power and Energy Ministry
    3.Council is accountable and trying to get the things done.
